Stormin Weekend!!

We loaded up the truck, picked Dave up on the way out of town and headed for Orem for a weekend with the Storm Soccer Club. I couldn't be more proud of these girls. They played their hearts out. This is the first time southern utah has been represented at the State Cup Tournament in Salt Lake. First game was an early one @ 8:30AM....luckily we made it to the end of the first half.(it always takes a lot longer than you think with 3 kiddies in the morning) They came up with a W. Beating Avalanche 3-0. A team that had beaten them 6-1 last year!!! It was intense and very exciting!
The 2nd game was a heart breaker. We ended up getting beat 3-2. It was one of those games where we had sooo many opportunities but couldn't capitalize on one... hit every post there was and kept coming back for more. The other team broke free with 30 seconds left to break the tie, and left everyone on the sideline praying for a couple more minutes. What a game! What heart! I have never seen them play so hard. They have one more chance to advance. Sat vs. Sparta! Give it up for the "Storm!"
