Mother's Day!

Mother's Day 2013

If you give a Mom a muffin,
She'll want a cup of cocoa to go with it.
She'll pour herself some.
Her three-year-old will come and spill the cocoa.
Mom will wipe it up.
Wiping the floor, she will find dirty socks.
She'll remember she has to do laundry.
When she puts the laundry into the washer,
she'll trip over shoes and bump into the freezer.
Bumping into the freezer will remind her she has to plan dinner.
She will get out a pound of hamburger.
She'll look for her cookbook,
"How to Make 101 things with a pound of hamburger."
The cookbook is sitting under a pile of mail.
She will see the phone bill, which is due tomorrow.
She will look for her checkbook.
The checkbook is in her purse,
which is being dumbped out by her two-year-old.
Then she'll smell something funny.
She'll change the two-year-old.
While she is changing the two-year-old, the phone will ring.
Her five-year-old will answer and hang up.
She'll remember she was supposed to phone a friend
to come over for cocoa.
Thinking of cocoa will remind her that she was going to have a cup.
She will pour herself some more.
And chances are,
if she has a cup of cocoa,
her kids will have eaten the muffin that went with it.

This is what the kids brought home from primary...if you've ever read the book. If you give a mouse a cookie, it will make you smile like it did Me.
Every room I walk into, makes me think of something else that needs to be done...enjoy the journey!
Heading to the Temple to take some MOther's Day pics and have a picnic.
So  grateful to be a Mom and for all the things I learn from the kids.
We were driving in the car to look at the lot where we are building in Little Valley and Kade asked, "Why are we going over to look at the lot...again.... we don't need another house, we have a perfectly great house." It changed my view and made me really think and realize that the kids want LOVE and TIME and that as long as the basics are met, no matter how extravagent...Or NOT in our case they may be, they are Happy. -It's these little moments that I love the most.
I am really excited to move and not be stepping on each others toes and have a little space, get off the main busy road, and to let the kids go out front and ride their bikes...simple pleasures. We are building a house! They started to dig:) I don't know how we will have the money to fill it, but have had so many answers to prayers and guidance that this is where we need to be.
ONe more story...really cool that happened this week. A man came to the door and asked if we were going to rent our house. I said, "Yes, but it won't be available until the end of the summer and that we were building a house." He gave me his name and number and happens to be a grandson of a lady in our ward. He said the price is great. He has been watching for our house to either go on the market or be up for rent for  a couple of years. He wants to do the landscaping in the back(if you've seen the backyard you'll know what a miracle this is in it self:) for trade and keep it up. He helped put in the driveway and just wants to raise his family here.-What a blessing. We will be signing him up.
